Chili weather!

It has been a little “chili” this past week here in Travelers Rest. Take the chill off of these December days with a bowl of chili and some cornbread made with meal from Woods Corn Mill down in Pelzer. (http://www.woodscornmill.com/) Enjoy it with a glass of southern nectar (sweet tea for the unknowing) or polish it off with a bottle of Appalachian Amber Ale from the Thomas Creek Brewery (http://www.thomascreekbeer.com/) just down the road in Greenville.

Chris tells me we will have quiche on the menu mid-week, in addition to the chili and vegetable soup. The chicken salad is a big hit, too. Have a sandwich or leave off the bread and just have a scoop over mixed greens. It’s tasty either way.
