Well, we have been experiencing “October’s bright blue weather” these last few days. On October 4, Nancy and I went to the TRAM Art Fair in Travelers Rest. This is a great show, if you are not familiar with it. There is a lot of folk art and outsider art, as well as a number of artists who are more conventional. We had an opportunity to see the work of a number of different artists whose work we might like to feature in the store. We also had an opportunity to talk to a lot of people who all seemed to want to know the same thing—”When are you going to get opened?” We told them all the same thing—”We are going to be in a tent in our parking lot for the Harvest Festival on October 18. Come to see us then!” So, while we won’t be on the Festival grounds proper, we will be at the end of the Swamp Rabbit Trail for those who participate in the Stroll. We will have some water, soft drinks, popcorn and other goodies to munch on, as well as some fun things to decorate your house for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Work is really moving along on the building. The deck of the screen porch went up in just a couple of days and the rest of the deck work is being done. The sheetrock is being mudded and prepped for painting. New doors are on the way and new windows have been installed. We even noticed that the Trail has been scraped and rolled; we hope that means paving is not far behind.
Make the North Greenville Harvest Festival part of your plans for October 18. It should be a great day. Here’s a link to the Travelers Rest calendar for more info: http://travelersrestsc.com/life/calendar.php
Here’s another little slideshow of new construction developments. Enjoy!
